Availability/Reservations

Yep, you found it. This is the Friends of Lucinda's page.

The Great Room is where all the Friends gather to celebrate the day and enjoy evening snacks & wine at Lucinda's Country Inn. The Bed & Breakfast has four suites and the Fair Play Cottage. When any Friend stays in all four suites and the Fair Play Cottage within 3 years, one night of the 6th stay has a FREE night at the best B&B in El Dorado County.

There are no ifs, ands or buts; your stay for the sixth time has one night FREE.

There are no fees for Friends of Lucinda's. We keep the records for you. We will let you know when you complete your 5th stay at the B&B. You can immediately book your 6th stay or do it later when you know you will be back in Fair Play or El Dorado County. You now have the ability to book online. If you book online you must make a note, in the Packages Box on the reservation form, the stay is a Friend of Lucinda's (FOL).
Some restrictions apply and based on availability.

The Heritage Oak is visible from most of the Inn. The front deck faces west looking right at the Heritage Oak. This is the signature tree for the B&B. Fair Play has many great trees, but this is the Best tree in all of the Fair Play Wine Country and El Dorado Country.
TIDBITS & NITWITS
(This space is for  whatever Daryl needs to ponder.)

May 2008
Tidbits: Those three projects I mentioned in this space in February are still not even touched by me. Sean did great work with the tile in the pantry. Now I got to do the rest.

The other projects will get worked on soon. We do have a reason for not working on them. We visited our grandson who lives in Germany. He had his Confirmation in mid-March. We took a few extra days before and after to visit Madrid, Prague, Heidelberg and Wurzburg. We've never been to Spain or the Czech Republic before so that was great to seen.

Prague is old world beautiful. An interesting fact: Prague did not get bombed in WWII, so ALL the old building are original. Most European cities have been restored to their historical character.

Fortunately for us we are now getting busier making new friends with our guests, but that means there are also delays in doing the projects.

Nitwits
: Sometimes butting heads with El Dorado County employees is fruitless. Right before its passage, the proposed Bed & Breakfast Ordinance, I  was "working " with the county. As president of the B&B Assn. of El Dorado County I was trying to change some wording and eliminate some onerous directives within the ordinance. Speaking before the County Planning Commission I was able to persuade the Commissioners and staff to change several parts. When staff came back with those changes there was ONE part added that was not in the ordinance before. County staff "just" has to make little changes each time they look at things. I must be the nitwit to think all the agreed upon changes are final; NOT - staff must add something after ALL the changes. That added part was approved with the passage of the Ordinance by the County Supervisors.

'til next time.......
