Lucinda's Country Inn is in the heart of the Gold Country. Within minutes are historic attractions, river rafting (www.oars.com/california), alpine sking, snowshoe trails, hiking trails, rock climbing, caverns to explore, Coloma (The site of the Gold discovery - Marshal State Park), historic "Hangtown" Placerville with its great shopping in small country shops, and lots of local dining.
And, of course, the Fair Play Wine Region. There are 20 wineries within a five mile radius. Most of the wineries have picnic areas. You can get snacks at some wineries or shop the local markets for cheese and crackers, sandwhiches, and more. In Fair Play there are two restuarants for you to choose from for lunch and dinner, or Lucinda's can arrange for a catered picnic lunch or dinner (limited menu) for you; with advance notice.
Just minutes away is the Shenandoah Valley of Amador County with 25 wineries to enjoy. There is Plymouth, Drytown, Amador City, Sutter Creek and Jackson just a short drive from there for dining, antique shops and local boutiques.
